So while I am here, alone, in pain with a crippled back, I have decided to try and install Linux Ubuntu to an old HP pavillion machine that I don't have much use for. Unfortunately the OS is taking forever to download and the HP doesn't seem to want to boot up with both Hardrives (HDD) in at the same time. One Is fine, but two? ohh no cant do that it either has to be one or the other. So in the meantime I'm just going to run Ubuntu over the spare HDD and see how it performs. I'm not expecting much though, to be honest I'm suprised the computer managed to boot up at all due the condition it's in. It feels as bad as I do I think. Hopefully some more thermal paste on the Central Proccessing Unit (CPU for short) can sort that out. But, as I say I'll just have to see how well it runs with the OS using it's paltry 1.5 GB of DDR RAM. If (as i suspect,) the answer is poorly, I can just give up with this machine and resort to another more powerful machine to test on. Ive been promised the use of a dell with about 3 GB of RAM and a 500GB HDD. Still nothing amazing I'm aware but still, when the you see the specs of the HP It looks slmost like a supercomputer. (which, by the way I am listing below along with a couple of photos as she is currently)
